Chapter 2: Hardware Setup

Remove the malfunctioning fan:

Pull the fan panel from your DiskStation.

Disconnect the fan cable from the connectors located near the bottom of the fan socket, and then remove

the fan panel.

Install the new fan:

Connect the fan cable of the new fan to the fan connector.

With the fan cable within the fan pointing at the bottom-right corner, place the fan into the fan socket.

Replace and tighten the two screws you removed in step 3.
