Reset admin's Password
If you forgot the password for admin and are therefore unable to log in to DSM, you can reset the password to
blank and set a new password.
To reset admin's password:
Press and hold the RESET button on the back panel of your USB Station 2 for 4 seconds.
Note: Other than resetting administrator's password, using the RESET button will also restore USB Station 2 to
factory defaults.
Restore USB Station 2 to Factory Defaults
Go to Main Menu > Control Panel > Restore Defaults if you want to restore your USB Station 2 to factory
defaults.
To restore USB Station 2:
Tick Restore to factory default settings checkbox and click OK to restore USB Station 2 to factory defaults
while the data will be remained the same.
Enable Terminal Services
Go to Main Menu > Control Panel > Terminal to enable Terminal service, allowing you to use Telnet or SSH to
log in to USB Station 2 and modify its settings.
To enable connection to USB Station 2 via Telnet or SSH:
1 Do any of the following:
If you want to enable the Telnet service, tick Enable Telnet service.
If you want to enable the SSH service, tick Enable SSH service.
